Many parents find out pretty quick that when the flu strikes, Pedialyte is the best rehydration beverage they can get – and keeping kids hydrated is clutch when it comes to recovery. But here’s a secret little life hack that many parents don’t yet know: When dehydration gets real, Pedialyte can help PARENTS get back to normal fast too.
Parents and kids both need to replenish electrolytes and fluids when they’re sick, and Pedialyte is specifically designed to do just that, with more electrolytes and less sugar than other common beverages – including those sports drinks that like to tout their rehydration abilities. The goal of this project is to create a suite of THREE (3) short Videos that lets Parents in on the secret that when illness strikes and dehydration gets real, Pedialyte can help both kids AND Parents rehydrate. Your suite should be accompanied by THIRTY (30) total still images (10 per Video) as well as TWO (2) infographics. This has been broken into two parts with different deliveries and slightly different asks: Part 1 is what Ideators should focus on – two creative 15-second Videos designed to show Parents that Pedialyte can help them feel better fast when they’re sick with the flu and they’re suffering from dehydration; Part 2 involves one 15 to 30-second "Science" Video designed to cover the science behind why Pedialyte is the best option, as well as the 30 still images and 2 infographics.
Try to present a problem/solution narrative with the 15-second Videos, and try to establish the problem right away so it can work as both your hook, and the conflict that drives the spot. Note that both of your 15-second Videos should follow a different story, and the 15 to 30-second "Science" Video will focus on communicating important evidence for Pedialyte’s effectiveness using some form of on-screen graphic design elements. The "Science" Video can incorporate live-action footage from your other Videos, as well as any other live-action footage that you think is appropriate. Your two infographics will appear within the "Science" Video.
You are encouraged to submit Scripts for the two 15-second Videos in your Pitch, and address your ability to handle on-screen graphic design elements, but it is not necessary that you submit a Script for the "Science" Video. After your Pitch is selected, the brand will be able to share more information with you about what elements they’d like to cover in the "Science" Video.

Pitch Awards (Submissions accepted 12/28/16 through 1/5/17)
The single most compelling Pitch will be selected and, upon submitting the Winner’s Affidavit and the IP Assignment, will receive $28,000 to help create the Video suite. Additionally, upon submitting a Video suite that satisfies the criteria laid out in your winning Pitch, the Pitch winner will also be GUARANTEED the winning place in the subsequent Video Phase.
Pre-Production Phase (Open to Pitch winner, due 1/18/17)
This project includes a Pre-Production Phase before the Video Phase. This means you will be required to submit certain items for Approval before you are able to move into Video Phase.

Video (Open only to Pitch winner, due 1/24/17)
Once the Pre-Production Phase is complete, the Pitch Winner will create TWO (2) 15-second Videos, and ONE (1) 30-second "Science" Video, based upon their winning Pitch. There will be a rolling timeline for delivery: one 15-second Video will be due on January 16th by End of Day, and then the second 15-second Video and the 30-second "Science" Video will be due at the close of the Video Phase. Winners of the Video Phase will earn $30,000. There are no residuals in this project.
