The true measure of the hero is the size of the heart.
Due November 30th, 2016 - Hasbro is looking to create a fun and shareable 60-second stop-motion video that shares the message that Marvel heroes come in all sizes and that the true measure of the hero is the size of the heart.
Whether it’s battling Loki or outsmarting Vulture, the Marvel heroes sure have their hands full saving Earth from the bad guys - but you don’t need superpowers to be a hero. While it would be nice to borrow Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit for the next beach clean up or to have the Hulk’s strength building houses for the community, you can be a hero at any size, big or small, male or female, the true measure of the hero is the size of the heart.
Working with Tongal, Hasbro is looking to tell a great story about the diversity of the Marvel heroes in one fun and shareable 60-second stop-motion video that shares this message and has fun from a visual and storytelling perspective.
You’ll be using action figures in two sizes, 6-inch and 12-inch, from the Hasbro Marvel line, so think about using the different sizes and scales to also play up the heroes come in all sizes message. Here’s the concept you’ll be pitching on:
Too Tall to Ride:
Iron Man and his friends go on a theme park tour. They see that Ant-Man is operating the Roller Coaster. The group excitedly climbs on board, except for Groot who is too tall to ride. Groot sighs and walks away, feeling left out. The safety bars lower, locking the heroes into their seats. Suddenly Ant-Man transforms, revealing himself to be Loki in disguise. The heroes struggle to get free, but they can’t break out of the safety restraints. Loki blasts the track, leaving a gaping hole that will derail the coaster, and then activates the ride at maximum speed. Groot hears his friends call for help and uses his own body to span the gap in the track. Loki snarls with irritation and is suddenly engulfed in electricity. He topples to the ground revealing Rocket Raccoon right behind him. (“I was too short to ride”)
Your video will need to play with scale and showcase BOTH the Hasbro Marvel Titan Heroes series 12- inch scale and 6-inch scale.
- Black Panther
- Black Widow
- Iron Man
- Captain America
- Rocket Raccoon
Note: The 6-inch figures have more articulation and the characters, as toys, could be self-aware.
